The objectives
To create a multi-million pound 2000m2 world-class manufacturing facility. Specifications included a requirement that the area be clear of surface-mounted services and provide the best possible working environment for production staff.

The challenges
All work had to be carried out within a live production area at the heart of a factory operating continuously 24/7. Existing building constraints had to be accommodated and services to adjacent areas had to be maintained.


The result
The project, which included numerous innovative design features, was delivered on time and on budget with zero disruption to production. Design features included:
  • 450 Kw refrigeration system with remote air handling units and ducted sock distribution
  • New services infrastructure including HV, LV, steam, water services, refrigeration, air, and specialist gasses
  • Sprinkler installation to entire site
  • Daylight harvesting
